AfriScienceNet public guidance and platform policy
March 15, 2026
AfriScienceNet is designed to support access to research discovery across a wide range of users, devices, and bandwidth conditions. That includes attention to readable interfaces, keyboard-friendly interaction patterns, and responsive layouts.
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time checklist.
Current work includes improving contrast, readable typography, responsive layouts, clear form behavior, and consistent navigation patterns across the public site and administrative surfaces.
Readable text and layout structure
Responsive design for desktop and mobile use
Progressive improvement to forms, navigation, and interaction states
As AfriScienceNet grows, accessibility reviews and refinements will continue. Feedback from researchers, institutions, and platform users is important in identifying barriers and improving the service.
